Since I am eager to try out ArcheAge and still have to wait for the Beta to be out in Europe I am trying to kill time elsewhere. Tried several games lately and nothing seems to be interesting enough for me in the longer run! I simply just need something new! Been killing time in The Sims 3, while waiting for Sims 4 aswell to get here, but mostly ArcheAge which is "just around the corner" they say. Been to almost all the games I own and even tried out new ones but yet I remain eager and impatient for ArcheAge... it is annoying! Which games are you playing at the moment?
2014 has been a confusing year for me in games... I haven't really found "THE GAME" yet... Which is kinda sad, since I had my hopes up for The Elders Scrolls Online.. But since that was a downer for me, I have been stuck in Final Fantasy XIV - A realm reborn. And now I am starting to get slightly bored... After having been so busy IRL, I haven't felt the same vibe in either of the games I own. LOTRO, FFXIV, Sims 3, Age of Conan, etc.. I am finding myself in a weird spot where I dont know which way to go. I want something new and exciting and then I got a tip about this new game called ArcheAge!
When I heard the name at first, I was a bit sceptical, due to it also being an asian MMO, but then when I read into what the game was like I was blown away. ArcheAge ain't just a normal MMORPG, but it is a sandbox game, meaning players are allowed to do almost anything!
You can build your own house anywhere, trading/gathering is playerbased, you can build your ship, PVP, there is even a crime system if you steal of someone else goods! On top of that there are no bound classes, but you have the control of which skills and weapons you would like to use! So be your own master and be the character you have always wanted to be! The game has seriously every aspect all the other MMORPGs have been missing for the last 10-15 years!
ArcheAge is litteraly the MMORPG you have been waiting for! And the betas are supposed to go out next month in June 2014. The game has been out since last year in Korean and Japan, but they are translating the game ATM. Hopefully we will get this game sooner than I can hope for! At least I am very excited! And the best thing about ArcheAge is it is Free to Play!!!! Ofc there is a chance of having a subscription if you want some extra stuff, but how amazing is that anyway?
I am looking forward to trying it out and hopefully it will be all the waiting worth it!

I know I have been quiet for a while, but don't you worry I ain't dead yet! I have been studying at my university 24/7 for the last many weeks! But now finally I have some spare time and freedom in terms of reading holiday and preparations for my exam in June. But that means more gaming and sparetime! Can't wait!
I blogged about the Sims 3 a while ago, and was all excited about the new Sims 4 coming out in February 2014, but now they have postponed the game until autumn this year. Whether it is a good thing or not, I am still having my hopes up for the game. Due to all the changes and optimizations they have made to the game since it first came out 14 years ago :) Just how much have change can be seen on the picture below:
So are you gonna try out the new Sims? Or is it mainly a girly game, as everyone kinda say it is?
I have had several moments where I didn't know what to have as my background on my PC, but I stumbled upon a great site with lots of different categories of backgrounds for that!

I am back after being on a smaller vacation in the UK, and I had quite a trip on the way there I can tell you! Thing is my BF wanted me to take along his big old main stationary computer along in my suitcase, and no its not a laptop or anything near the small side! Its a huge fecking monster I tell you! Probably about 12 kgs, which is a lot if you think about who is going to carry this! (ME!!!!)
But oh well after having a long talk with the people at the airport they said okay for it and threw it on board on the flight! With fingers crossed the entire way and lots of swearing words about how stupid this idea and PC was, I manage to reach the goal with the PC in fine condition, and I now made my BF happier than ever! He really did miss me (or was it the PC?)
But yeah anyway I had a wonderful time and I hope you have all been alright out there, so when thinking of my little trip I got curious about:

Personally I had a wonderful one but afraid there wasn't any geeky loot this year! But anyway for about a month now I have been borrowing my BF's monitor which is 24''!!! And I am like WOOOAH! It's so huge and I feel completely dragged into the games even more! It's like being there now compared to the 14'' it was before !
So I got curious about this and started looking for monitors to buy, and stumpled upon some funny ones! The top picture one is just huuuge! But compared to the 3D at the bottom picture its nothing! Maybe I should wait a bit and see what will happen to the Monitor universe very soon, as I can tell the 3D is definately a reality and that would mean BEING in the game world for "real" or at least almost!
A friend sent me this picture once and thought I wanted to share it with you guys! I can definately see a few of these fitting my current state of life! Maybe you recognise some of the states/moods from the different lifestyles?

I agree with you in not all girls used to play MMOs back in the days, and that it have changed a lot.
Especially this quote of yours I find very interesting:

That's so true, I remember it clearly when I was 13 I had no mobile phone or a computer of my own, it is crazy how fast the development has taken place in the last few years! Today you are almost special or weird if you don't have a mobile phone or a laptop of your own! And I think that's literally scary!

I can only agree 110% with you on this one, sometimes it is better to not tell anyone you are a woman out there, cause seriously, it is crazy! I have tried it too often, and sometimes it is seriously scary, these random dudes that doesn't know you at all falling in love with you in 2 secs, and before you know it they ask where you live, if they can see some pictures, wants your facebook etc. :) Seriously, sometimes it is better to stay anonymous on the internet that just comitting to your gender!
But then:Why is it we trust people online with so much info on our personal lives? Maybe even some info we wouldn't tell our IRL friends about ?

Xhii, when you meantioned Clint Mansell, I came to think of one of my other favourites by him: "Requiem for a dream", it is magically I think :) he makes very nice soundtracks indeed, didn't know Moon, but maybe it is time to buy an album or two!
Anonymous, yeah I loved Pirates of the Caribbean, first movie is still the best though! :) But the music there is thrilling aswell!
Lately I have been reading some articles on the internet, about women are taking over the internet, by blogging, gaming, etc. I dunno what to think really?
Personally I grew up with a computer in my entire life almost, and it is pretty natural to me to use it daily, for searching information, chatting to my friends, playing games and yes blogging, cause it is something I enjoy, but the fact we are talking about women taking over the internet, nah I doubt that!
I guess women have just reached that point where it is okay to have your own laptop without being a completely geek, today it is just more of a cool gadget, and why is it gadgets are only for guys ?
To me the internet is for everyone, and I just believe that today it is more common for both genders to use it to find out information or have fun :)
