Free 2 play week + Datacrons!

After hearing so much about this hidden datacron in the Republic fleet, we finally sat down and started gathering the 3 items needed and got it down!
10 + to all attributes! So pleased!

Companion bug...?

I was handing in a quest, when suddenly all my companions were wearing no clothes at all.... must be some bug, but still made me chuckle.

At last I reached lvl 50 in Star Wars - The old republic! It was a long journey, but the story line made it all worth it! Already levelling new characters to see the variations of stories that are possible in the game!

Star Wars: The Old Republic

In the begining when I heard about Star Wars: The old republic, it wasn't something of my interest at all, I have watched the movies a few times and that's about it. So the lore is nothing that draws me in really, but then after the launch I decided to try it out and I must say I was really surprised about the game.

The graphics might not be the prettiest, but that's not what this game is about at all, the NPC interactions and ways you can affect and make your own story in the game is amazing!
On top of that the game has quite a few different changes to any other MMO, the crafting system is not something you have to stop up and do, but you have companions that can craft for you meanwhile you are questing!
The PVP system is kinda like in RIFT and Warhammer, but that's something I find fun and enjoy a lot! Only difference here is that there is no lvl cap for who you might play with or against, say a lvl 10 can play with a lvl 50 on the team and vice versa.
The game has all in all lots of features and I could keep talking about it, to try and convince you guys to try it out, but I won't! Instead I have shared a few screenshots of some of my journeys so far :) I got really excited when I met the Yoda looking guy on the last picture ! I wished I could have him as my pet!

If you want to say hi to me in game I am on the server called Progenitor, playing on the republic side as a Jedi Sage called Naiome :)

Geeks in many ways!

I stumbled across this picture, and came to think about being a geek, can be meant in many different ways, just like this picture!

Dear Anonymous.
Thank you for telling us about yourself, and how you don't fit into any of the stereotypes on the pictures, I feel the same way as you, I absolutely don't see myself as any of the pics, and if I had to it would be a mix of everything and everyone I think.
But anyway back to your post, I absolutely agree with you when you say: "If you went back 10 years being labelled a geek had the same negative implications that being labelled a nerd had, now things are different. Being a geek isn't quite so unusual anymore"
I think it is a very interesting thing being a geek today, it is like a completely new style or fase in life. And in the 21th century it is okay to be a geek, cause it is something more and more of us are interested in! The gaming world has opened up to so many new players ever since MMOs were launched, and I think it will only continue from now on :)

Next year lots of new games are coming out, and it is always exciting to see how they turn out! Personally I am looking forward to trying Star Wars - The old republic out.
